Aug 6, 2005 | Gooseberries (Nellikai or Amla) sprinkled with red chili powder and salt is a favorite snack of mine from my childhood. I haven't been able to find that particular kind of gooseberry here in Virginia (USA). I miss being able to find this easily on the streets in India, sold by vendors carrying them in a basket delicately balanced on their heads or on bicycles and push carts.
